This Saturday we painted our eggs.
Early in the morning we blew out the last few eggs and ended up with 15 eggs to be painted.
It was also "dia da mulher Moçambicana", Mozambikan Womens day. The city was quiet and shops were closed. On Friday only the afternoon was a "holiday". International Womens day is in March but we have an extra one here! I received a chicken from one of the nurses in the clinics. Pim looked after it for a few days and brought it back to town on his Friday flight. Later this week more about that chicken.
The children first puled a string through the eggs and secured the string with beads. After that the painting started.
I found (paper) willow branches at the Chinese store. Not the real thing bit close enough. You can find quite a lot here nowadays. Already a big difference compared to a few years ago.
All the eggs are hanging in the willow branches now.
Do you see the little lamb?
It stands in our house to remind us of the Lamb
And to remind us of the Good Shepherd who looks after (us) his sheep.
Food cooked by Julia and table set by the children.
This Sunday
We went to church
We have been listening to the Matteus Passion
Played games with the kids
Sang resurrection songs
Had Holy Communion
Because of the resurrection we have new Life
How did you celebrate Easter?
Tell me.
